Thanks to everyone for a great first virtual con, COS VCON! It's definitely a first attempt so also thank you for bearing with us!

We at COS wanted to say a hearty "Thank you!" to everyone that had stepped up to run and/or coordinate events all weekend! I think the feedback was been pretty positive overall, which mostly means you all have provided a really great experience for the players, so seriously thank you everyone, great work!

Also thanks to all the players that came from far and wide! We hope you had a great time!

While we continue to feel the impact of COVID restrictions on gathering, we wanted to provide an area for our gamers to find each other online, as well as join communities on different gaming platforms.

This is just a rough start, but if you'd like to see something added please send us a PM here or message us through Facebook!

BoardGameGeek & Affiliates

If there's others you'd like to see, let us know!

There are also Gamer Tag / SN fields in your site profile as well, so feel free to update them until we find a suitable format for easier networking.

Well, the bad news is we’re canceling Coscon 2021 but the good news is we will try to have a virtual con that weekend. This will be our first attempt at a virtual con so please be nice. We’ll unofficially call it COS VCON 2021 so we can keep the in-person cons in numerical order.

The plans so far are to have sign-ups on Warhorn, use Discord for the audio, and mostly use Roll 20 and Tabletop Simulator. That is the recommended, but anything else the GM wants to use is fine. Just make sure you state what you are using in the description so the players know.

We’re assuming most of the games will be Pathfinder Society, D&D 5th Edition (Adventurers League), and Tabletop games but we’re open to more.

We’ll need GM’s as always and you can either run your own or we will make Pathfinder/Adventurers League games available if you want to run those.

We are new to this even after running 50+ cons over 30 years so suggestions are welcome.

We are not charging for the event but would recommend you make a donation to Warhorn since they make a lot of this possible.

If you have questions, issues, words of wisdom, etc. Please send them to cons@circleofswords.com

Thanks in advance for your interest and additional information will be coming.

We hope you and your loved ones are doing everything you can to stay as healthy, safe, and prepared as possible, whether venturing out on a regular basis or staying at home. We thought we should follow up with a few updates based on the continuing precautions around COVID-19 and their effects on COS events.

COSCON 2020
Refunds have been processed for all con purchases. For ease of recordkeeping, we refunded 100% of all fees paid. If you did not receive your refund, please contact us at cons@circleofswords.com

We will keep the same con number and t-shirt logo for Coscon 2021 which will now be numbered Coscon XXXII (32). Because we refunded all payments, you will need to reorder your t-shirt for Coscon 2021 when registration opens up in December, but they’ll be the same design.

COS QUEST LARP
The COSCON Point Buy will be offered online through the website at the same rate; $6/point, max of 5. These will be available through April 30th, 2020. Attendance points for the con will not be available, nor will we hold the points raffle.

The April weekend event has been cancelled, however we will keep the pre-pay for the event available through April 30th, 2020. You will still receive points and production.

The 2020 Season Pass amount will remain the same and will still include the April event. The deadline has also been extended until April 30th, 2020.

The X-mas skill and prestige points are still available through March 31st and will not be extended.

If you haven't already, please take a moment to update your Plot Rotation in your profile here on the COS site. Takes a minute and will help us better prepare for relaunching the season once things calm down!

Thank you again for your continued support, and we will continue to provide updates as best we can. Hope to see you at the next COS event once everything (hopefully sooner than later) returns to normal!

We regret to inform you that we will be cancelling COSCON 2020and the April COS Quest LARP events this year due to the Corona Virus statewide precautions and the multiple concerns of our members. Currently the May 4-Day event is also at risk, but we will continue to monitor the situation and follow the statewide restrictions currently in place.

Please bear with us on refunds since it will be a long process to get all of them done. Luckily most of them are via PayPal so that should make it easier.

More details to follow, so please continue to check the site or join our Facebook groups for more information!
