Due to increased site rentals (and the fact that we haven't adjusted Quest rates in years), the PC cost for Quest events in 2010 will increase $5, however the NPC cost will remain unchanged.

New Rates:
NPC/PC: $10/$25
4-Day: $15/$30

For years, Quest events were held at Raccoon Creek State Park, where site rentals were just under $300 per event, and for the most part our fees did not need to increase. Now, however, we've had to utilize BSA Camps Agawam and Bucoco, which are over twice that ($650+).

With the difficulty in scheduling Raccoon events earlier in the year and the more frequent usage of BSA Camps Agawam and Bucoco, the club has had to find a few ways to soften the impact this has had on our operating costs. Based on event attendance and the number of planned events, we settled on the $5 increase.

While any increase in registration is unfortunate, we had to do something and this seemed the less drastic approach. Between this and the Christmas Points, Quest should be in a more stable position budget-wise going into 2010!

Thank you for your continued support, and we apologize for any inconveniece this creates!

For the first time in...well, we honestly can't remember how long it's been!...but it's long overdue that we will have to slightly increase the registration rates for COSCON and 2009.

While the overall registration fees have increased for both on-site and pre-registration, the price breakdown is a little more reasonable than in prior years, specifically Friday and Sunday one-day rates. This will help offset those pesky operating costs that have increased over the near-decade that our rates have remained the same!

Please remember there is still a discount for pre-registering by two weeks prior to the convention (20%), as well as free admission for GMs running 3+ slots/12+ hours. There are now also one-day GM benefits available, as well! (One-day Visitor badges, Vendor prices, and other event fees have remained the same!)

COSCON XXI 2009
March 13-15, 2009
Days Inn, Butler, PA

RPGA Events, RPGs, Miniature Gaming, LARPs, LAN Gaming, RPGA, LARPs, LAN & Other Events will be posted soon on WarHorn.net, so submit them online or via mail now!

Please also note that enforcement of our long-standing policies will be stressed more this year; most notably the pre-registration deadline of Friday, February 27th, 2009 and the need to display your COSCON convention badge in all convention areas and while playing events!

To find out more, please keep checking our information page for COSCON 2009

Welcome to Weekend in the Realms!!

Time: 10am, Sat, Oct 25th
Location: Days Inn, Butler, PA (Overflow space may be available, dependent upon RSVPs)

This is an exclusive LFR mega-adventure playable one weekend only. We are hosting the event on Saturday October 25th at the Days Inn in Butler, PA. It’s called “Beneath Haunted Halls,” and is for characters levels 1–4. Set in and around the famous Haunted Halls of Eveningstar, the adventure is broken into three parts; each part takes approximately 3 hours to play. You can play one, two, or all three parts if you’d like, and earn rewards for your LFR character for each part. Our space (and judges) will be limited, so we are asking everyone to RSVP. We will be running the adventure as follows:

Part 1: 10 am - 1 pm
Part 2: 2 pm - 5 pm
Part 3: 6 pm - 9 pm

Please send your RSVP to Kim at kaznpaz@yahoo.com . Make sure to indicate if you are coming for all 3 parts or only some portion of the day. Again space is limited, if you don't preregister there probably won't be space the day of the event. We are also looking for a few interested judges. There will hopefully be a slot zero opportunity on the 11th or 18th (probably at the Zellem home). We're looking forward to seeing everyone on the 25th!

Additional Time: 10am, Sunday, Oct 26th
Additional Location: Borders in Pittsburgh Mills Mall

The Borders at the Pittsburgh Mills Mall, will be holding the Weekend in the Realms event on Sunday, October 26th, starting at 10am, or whenever we get a full table, and running as late as 8pm. If you have any questions, or want to put your name down on the list, email me at efry@zoominternet.net, or call the store at 724-275-5820.
