THE YEAR 1015 (2006) OF THE AGE OF LIGHT...

2/17/1015 Age of Light: While on their trip back from adventuring in Stonecliff Pass, the adventurers found shelter from the cold night while resting in a cozy tavern. Suddenly, they found themselves gated far to the north of the Barony into a beseiged keep at the foot of the Hammerfall Mountains, much to the shock and relief of the few residents of the nearby town who sought protection within the sturdy stone walls.

Surrounded and trapped by ogres, far from home, and quickly succumbing to the bitter chill of the tundra, the adventurers were forced to break the siege and temporarily scatter the ogre warbands. In response, the powerful shamans leading the ogre tribes summoned a powerful monster to destroy the entire town.

The adventurers obtained aid from a mysterious source, which allowed them to gather the trapped spirits of the past ogre champions which originally defeated the monster unleashed by the ogre shamans. Channeling these spirits, they were able to defeat the monster and kill several shamans, severely crippling the organization of the ogre warbands in the area for the time being.

Only once the tribes were scattered and the townsfolk rescued was the secret of the town soon discovered. This remote town outside the boundaries of the Duchy was mining a special Iron ore under the direction of a Tomician Knight, Sir Guy Ferrilish, Knight of the Spire. The Ore was being shipped back to the Barony under the watchful eye of the Narfell Messengers' Guild, though for what purpose exactly still remains a mystery...
