The History of the Races

The Humans

Humans should seem like a simple story. They are the youngest of all the races, and being the latest to become intelligent and aware, they chose to mimic rather that develop. They took different aspects of their culture from all of the races, especially the Elves. This is why the Elves have come to resent, even hate the Human race.

Human society is formed from a few major sects:

Armigers
The Armigers of the Duchy of Allwyn are ex-nobles or men of state. Choosing their own crests to represent their holdings or beliefs, these Humans choose to act in more civilized manners to deal with troubles confronting the lands.

Barbarians
The Barbarians choose to stay in the forests, keeping the tribal ways of old. They are woodsmen that take what they need and no more. They have remained natural and uncorrupted by the greater Human Society.

Gypsies
The Gypsies choose to keep to themselves and their own kind, establishing large extended, yet close knit, families. Gypsy traditions often have the feeling exemption from the laws of the Human Society. They are a mystery to most other races and chose to remain that way. They travel from town to town in caravans, leaving a definite mark as they go. Not many know what turned the Gypsies from Society or why they feel themselves immune to Human law, but you can be sure that each time you ask you'll get a different answer.
